Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has raised Rs 7 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The fresh capital will help the company improve its products, build enterprise-level AI security frameworks and expand its presence across India and the US.

Founded in 2021 by Vineet Gupta and Sachin Aggarwal, Zaperon is building a unified cybersecurity platform designed for the growing Agentic AI era.

The startup focuses on protecting both human and non-human identities, including AI agents, applications and other systems that interact with enterprise data and cloud infrastructure.

One Platform for Identity, Data and AI Security

Zaperon is bringing identity security, data security and AI governance together on a single platform.

The company says its technology helps enterprises control how employees, applications and AI agents access and use sensitive data and cloud systems.

Instead of managing different security tools separately, businesses can use identity- and context-based policies across their digital systems and AI environments.

As more companies start using AI agents for important business tasks, controlling their access to sensitive information is becoming a bigger security challenge.

Zaperon Targets Growing AI Security Market

According to Zaperon, the combined identity and data security market is currently worth around $16 billion globally and could reach $35 billion by 2030.

The company expects this market to grow as businesses adopt AI faster and face greater risks from data leaks and non-human identities accessing enterprise applications and sensitive information.

Vineet Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Zaperon, said the company's goal is to build a global cybersecurity platform that protects enterprises from data breaches involving both human and non-human identities.

He added that Zaperon wants to make enterprise security more effective, accessible and scalable while helping businesses adopt AI without putting their data and systems at risk.

Strong Industry Experience

Zaperon's founders bring experience from major technology and consulting companies.

Before starting Zaperon, Vineet Gupta worked in product and engineering roles at VMware, Juniper Networks and Norton.

Co-founder Sachin Aggarwal has worked in corporate strategy and consulting roles at KPMG, POSCO and Kia Motors.

Commenting on the investment, Minal Shah, Principal - Southeast Asia at IPV, said companies are moving from experimenting with AI to using AI agents in important business workflows.

She said securing the identities, access and data connected to these AI systems is becoming increasingly important, and Zaperon is addressing this challenge through its unified identity and data security platform.

IPV Expands Its Startup Portfolio

The latest investment adds Zaperon to Inflection Point Ventures' growing startup portfolio.

IPV has invested more than Rs 900 crore across over 280 startups and backed 16 startups in the first quarter of 2026.

The angel investment platform has a network of more than 9,600 CXOs, HNIs and professionals.

With the new funding, Zaperon is now looking to strengthen its technology, launch enterprise-grade AI security solutions and expand its reach in India and the US as businesses increasingly bring AI into their everyday operations.
