Marico has acquired an additional 24.09% stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals, the parent company of health and wellness brand Plix, for Rs 1,012.03 Cr. The deal takes Marico’s total holding in the company to 84.09% on a fully diluted basis.

The transaction was completed on October 5, 2026, as part of Marico’s earlier plan to increase its ownership in Satiya Nutraceuticals. Marico had initially acquired a 60% stake and had the right to buy the remaining shares under its agreement with the company.

Marico Plans to Buy More Stake in 2027

The latest deal is part of a larger agreement under which Marico will acquire a total of 38.18% from the founders and some other shareholders in different tranches.

After the latest acquisition, 14.09% stake is still left to be acquired. Marico expects to complete this transaction in July 2027, subject to the agreed conditions.

The consideration for this final stake will include a base amount of up to Rs 592 Cr, along with additional payments linked to certain milestones and other terms.

Once the planned transactions are completed, Marico is expected to hold 98.18% of Satiya Nutraceuticals covered under the current agreements.

Rs 1,392 Crore Invested So Far

With the latest purchase, Marico’s total investment for its 84.09% stake has reached Rs 1,392.07 Cr.

The latest acquisition was completed through a cash transaction. The purchase of shares from Satiya Nutraceuticals’ founders, their relatives and related entities is classified as a related-party transaction, but Marico said it was done on an arm’s-length basis.

Marico also clarified that its promoter and promoter group have no interest in the transaction.

Plix Strengthens Marico’s Health and Wellness Business

Satiya Nutraceuticals owns The Plant Fix - Plix, a plant-based nutrition and personal care brand focused on health, wellness and everyday nutrition.

For Marico, the deal strengthens its position in the growing nutrition, wellness and personal care markets. Plix also gives the company a stronger presence in digital-first and premium consumer brands.

The investment fits into Marico’s wider strategy of expanding beyond its traditional FMCG businesses and building new growth areas in foods, nutrition, personal care and wellness.

Plix Revenue More Than Doubles in FY26

Satiya Nutraceuticals has seen strong growth over the last few years.

Its consolidated turnover increased to Rs 864.31 Cr in FY26, compared with Rs 432.84 Cr in FY25 and Rs 155.32 Cr in FY24.

This means the company’s turnover has grown more than five times in just two years, showing the rapid growth of the Plix business.

Satiya Nutraceuticals is headquartered in Mumbai and was incorporated on February 13, 2020.

Marico Moves Closer to Full Ownership

The increased stake gives Marico greater control over Plix and its future expansion. It also deepens the company’s exposure to plant-based nutrition, health, wellness and personal care.

Key Numbers:

  • Rs 1,012.03 crore - value of the latest 24.09% stake acquisition
  • 84.09% - Marico’s total stake after the latest deal
  • Rs 864.31 crore - Plix parent Satiya Nutraceuticals’ FY26 turnover

With 84.09% already acquired for Rs 1,392.07 crore, Marico’s next major step will be the planned acquisition of the remaining 14.09% stake in July 2027.
