Premier Energies Limited has secured new orders worth Rs 4,001 Cr during the July-September quarter of FY27, strengthening its position in India’s growing solar energy market.

The orders cover solar cell and module supplies, along with engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. Excluding the retail market segment, the orders represent a total capacity of 2,308 MW and come from major power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies and other customers.

Premier Energies Expands Solar Manufacturing Capacity

The company has recently increased its total solar module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW. Its solar cell manufacturing capacity has also grown from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW.

This increase follows the commissioning of a 7 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility last month in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. The new facility strengthens the company’s ability to meet growing demand for solar cells in India.

Plans for Further Expansion

Premier Energies is also investing in new manufacturing capabilities to expand its business beyond solar cells and modules.

The company is setting up 10 GW of ingot-wafer manufacturing capacity to support backward integration and strengthen its supply chain. It is also developing 12 GWh of battery container manufacturing capacity to diversify its product portfolio.

These investments are expected to support the company’s long-term growth as demand for renewable energy and energy storage solutions increases.

Management Commentary

Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, said the growing order book reflects the company’s growth strategy and execution capabilities. He added that the company is ready to meet customer demand across different segments of India’s solar market.

With fresh orders worth Rs 4,001 Cr and higher manufacturing capacity, Premier Energies is expanding its ability to serve customers while building capabilities across the solar and energy storage value chain.
